Bookseller Application

We are pleased to announce that we are looking for new booksellers to join our ranks. We have openings for part time and full time booksellers. The roles will be spread over our two shops in West Hampstead and Queens Park and potentially our third shop, Columbia Road Books in East London. We are looking for committed, passionate, hard working individuals. Successful candidates need very strong book knowledge and bookseller experience is essential. Both roles will require working both weekend days.

Role requirements:

  • The ability to recommend a vast array of books to customers from children’s books to adult non fiction.

  • Packing and fulfilling website orders for our growing online business.

  • Working both as part of a team and on your own.

  • Strong merchandising skills and an eye for presentation.

  • Excellent attention to detail and good organisational skills.

  • A strong knowledge of book trends and upcoming titles for the year.

Pay:

  • Full time bookseller role starts at £28,500 per annum.

  • Part time bookseller role £15.50 per hour.

Hours:

  • Full time - 40 hours including five hours unpaid lunch break.

  • Part time - 3 days per week (negotiable)
