Spend the evening with us and two brilliant writers.

We are delighted to invite you to hear Anna Bailey, author of bestselling debut novel, the extraordinary Tall Bones, in conversation with Paula Hawkins, multi million selling writer of The Girl On The Train.

Tall Bones instantly won Anna universal critical acclaim for its filmic sense of place, peerless plotting and pacing and superb characterisation. An achievement for any writer but for a 20-something first time novelist, this is a very special talent that makes Anna one to watch.

Two teenage girls attend a party in the hills outside a small Colorado town, but only one returns. Tall Bones looks compassionately and with insight and eloquence, at love, guilt, intolerance and religion in rural America.

Anna will read from Tall Bones as well as joining Paula in conversation.

There will also be time for audience questions.

And, as a very special treat, we are beyond excited that Paula will also read an extract from her forthcoming novel, A Slow Fire Burning, a psychological thriller set within a small community in north London's Regent's Park Canal. With themes of old enemies, fractured relationships, justice and mercy, there are echoes of Barbara Vine at her finest.

In the current circumstances, this will, of course be a Zoom event which means you can enjoy in the comfort of your own home.

Join us at 7pm on 9th June. All you need to do to attend is by a signed copy of Tall Bones from our website and you will be sent a link to join the event on the day.

There will also be the opportunity to preorder a signed copy of A Slow Fire Burning here.

We have read and absolutely loved both books so we hope you can join us for what we know will be a really special evening.
